This fee covers affiliation to Waka Ama Nz, affiliation to Auckland Region Outrigger Canoe Association, Towing Waka to and from Events, and all costs associated with Administration, Maintenance and annual expenses.

Parking - Please be aware Kaipara Cruising & Sportfishing Club have kindly donated our Clubroom and Storage area for all our waka and equipment. Their premises are private property. All paddlers are required to park in designated areas. Please respect this request as KCSC members take first priority especially on the weekends.

Communication:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/278787357345019

Our main form of communication is via Facebook. This has proven to be quite successful as most paddlers have Facebook. Training reminders, cancellations and all important information will be posted on Facebook. If you have any questions, Ruth Carty or Jackie Watson will be more than happy to answer any questions. Any important concerns will be redirected to Israil Foreman then addressed through the Tu Tangi Ora Committee.

Tu Tangi Ora Annual Waka Ama Events:

Website: www.tutangiora.nz

Tu Tangi Ora Waka Ama is fortunate to have Adult Paddlers, Kaipara College Paddlers and Primary School Paddlers from the Kaipara District.

Those that are keen to compete under the umbrella of Tu Tangi Ora will need to purchase a racing top at the cost of $55. There is an 8-12 week lead time as tops are manufactured overseas.

A post via Facebook regarding ordering of Tu Tangi Ora Race Tops will have a link in which you can order. Please note if there is an event you wish to compete in before the arrival of order, we have tops that can be borrowed.

An event will be created through Facebook, this is where you will be given all the information regarding i.e uniform to wear, entry fees, venue, map, times to be at venue etc. Links will be posted on Facebook to register paddler interest for an event through the Tu Tangi Ora website.

We have a number of events we try to attend every season. They are as follows:

1    National Sprint Championships - January

2    Takapuna Cup - February
